Phantom Gourmet: Rossetti In Lynn

LYNN (CBS) -- Take all your favorite Italian flavors. Fire them up fresh. And serve them inside a big, rustic, modern space. Now you know what it's like to have a meal at Rossetti in Lynn.

Bobby and Steven Rossetti have been working in the restaurant business their entire lives. And after years of turning out top notch, red sauce classics at their little cafe in Winthrop, an opportunity arose to expand into this beautiful building on Sutton Street in Lynn. And that's when they decided to bring the next generation, Steven Rossetti on board to help.

"So what we wanted to do for as long as I can remember my father and my uncle have been Italian chefs and we wanted to take well executed Italian food, some new age items," Rossetti said. But put that next to a mixology bar, inspired craft cocktails and bring that together. I mean who doesn't like comfort Italian food but next to something a little bit different. A little bit new."

So, there are gorgeous antipasto platters and house made meatballs with marinara. Pan Roasted Atlantic Haddock over sweet pea and shrimp risotto, and crispy soft shell crab with truffle honey vinaigrette. And the only thing that might be more impressive than the food, is the drinks.

"Every single juice is hand squeezed fresh daily. We cut our ice by hand with a chain saw," Rossetti said. "We have 6 or 7 different types of homemade bitters... It's just a very impressive bar and it's just really up with the times with what's going on... with the mixology movement nowadays."
