Canton Town Sign Hit By 9 Bullets

CANTON (CBS) -- Canton police are trying to figure out who shot at least nine rounds into a sign on a busy street.

An officer discovered the bullet holes while on patrol Sunday afternoon on Greenlodge Street. At least three spent rounds were found in the grass nearby, police said.

The sign is at the beginning of a Route 95 overpass, "an extremely busy road at all hours of the day," police say. There are no homes in the nearby area, according to police.
