4 Dogs, 2 Cats Killed In Charlestown Fire

BOSTON (CBS) – Six animals died Saturday morning during a fire in Charlestown.

The Boston Fire Department was called to 311 Main Street with fire showing from a two-story building just before noon on Saturday.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the heavy flames, but four dogs and two cats died as a result of the fire.

According to fire officials, four adults and two children live in the home, but were not inside at the time of the fire.

No information is currently available on the cause of the fire.
