BOSTON (CBS) — It’s no April Fools’ joke – the governor of Massachusetts is getting a buzz cut to raise money for charity.

Gov. Charlie Baker’s office announced Wednesday that he’ll be shaving his head with employees of Granite Telecommunications in Quincy to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The “Saving By Shaving” event takes places on April 7, and will raise $2.5 million for the institute. More than 500 workers at Granite will also be shaving their heads or beards.
