BOSTON (CBS) – The 2014-15 NBA season is nearing its conclusion, one that has seen a laundry list of hard fouls, skirmishes and, of course, ejections.

Fortunately there has been no Malace At The Palace, but alas here are the Top 10 Cheap Shots of the NBA season so far.

10. Marcus Smart winds up on Matt Bonner

Celtics rookie Marcus Smart took out his frustration of being down over 20 to the San Antonio Spurs, fighting through a Matt Bonner screen with an uppercut to the groin region.

9. Jonas Valanciunas wraps up LeBron

Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas found a way to stop the King…with a textbook tackle in the lane.

8. Nenê throws Noah to the ground

Wizards center Nenê was battling for post position against Bulls center Joakim Noah but decided it was time for Noah to kiss the floor.

7. Steve Blake uses the force on Kenneth Faried

Portland point guard Steve Blake had a unique way of handling a blindside screen from Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried.

6. Dwight Howard vs. Kevin Garnett

Rockets center Dwight Howard caught a basketball and headbutt to the face from feisty forward Kevin Garnett.

5. Quincy Acy swings at John Wall

John Wall of the Wizards and Knicks forward Quincy Acy had a nice Christmas-day tussle at Madison Square Garden.

4. James Harden kicks LeBron where the sun don’t shine

In the midst of a heated game between two contenders, Houston guard James Harden used his lower extremities to deliver a below-the-belt blow to Cavaliers forward LeBron James while fighting for a loose ball.

3. Paul Pierce shoves Omri Casspi into little girl

17-year vet Paul Pierce still has some anger in the tank, shoving Kings forward Omri Casspi into the stands and subsequently into a teary-eyed girl.

2. Heat vs. Suns

Goran Dragic clearly had some unsolved problems with former Phoenix Suns teammates. Forward Markieff Morris shoved Dragic while in mid air, and center Alex Len had a wrestling match with Heat center Hassan Whiteside in Dragic’s first game against his old team.

1. Hassan Whiteside clocks Kelly Olynyk in back of the head

Heat center Hassan Whiteside is back again, this time dishing out a vicious elbow to the back of Celtics center Kelly Olynyk’s back/neck region. Time to hit the showers after that one.

On Monday morning, 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak & Bertrand discussed the cheap shot given out by Celtics rookie Marcus Smart Friday night in San Antonio, which resulted in a one-game suspension.

This is not the first time Marcus Smart has shown a lack of discipline on a basketball court.
