Rich Keefe's Top NBA Prospects In The NCAA Tournament

BOSTON (CBS) - The NCAA Tournament is underway, and we've already seen our fair share of upsets and photo-finishes.

For the casual college basketball fan, what interests them most about March Madness (besides the office pool) is which of these players can make it to the next level.

On Friday morning, 98.5 The Sports Hub's resident hoop head Rich Keefe provided his top NBA prospects playing in the NCAA Tournament.

1. Jahlil Okafor: Duke (Center)

"Many say he's going to be No.1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The Celtics will not have an opportunity for him. He's clearly a top 2 or 3 pick."

2. Justice Winslow: Duke (Forward)

"Reminds me a little bit of Jabari Parker. He's a terrific wing player who can score."

3. Tyus Jones: Duke (Guard)

"Freshman point guard in which I assume he's going to go pro. He was actually a package deal with Jahlil Okafor when those guys were deciding where to go.  Both almost went to Arizona."

4. Delon Wright: Utah (Guard)

"Wright played OK in Thursday's game against Stephen F Austin. He's actually Portland Trail-Blazers forward Dorell Wright's brother. He will probably be a lottery pick, another wing-type player.  Wright has decent size."

5. Kevin Looney: UCLA (Forward)

"UCLA moves onto the next round after defeating SMU on Thursday. Looney will have another game to play."

6. Georges Niang: Iowa State (Forward)

"A Methuen kid who played at Tilton up in New Hampshire for prep school. Great player but Iowa State was bounced yesterday. This could have been a great tournament for him have they won a bunch of games."

1. Montrezl Harrel: Louisville (Forward)

"He's a big man at 6-foot-9. He was probably a guy who would've been a first round pick last year. He was one of the few surprises that decided to go back to school."

2. Kris Dunn: Providence (Guard)

"Kris Dunn is one of the top pro prospects in the entire region."

1. Bobby Portis: Arkansas (Forward)

"I love Bobby Portis. SEC's Player Of The Year. Sophomore at 6-foot-10 who can run the floor and handle the ball a little bit. He's obviously going to be a first round pick for sure. Depending on how high his stock goes, the Celtics may have a shot."

2. Michael Qualls: Arkansas (Guard)

"If you watched any of the Arkansas-Wofford game Thursday night, that guy can jump out of the building at a bunch of dunks. Celtics for sure have a shot at Qualls."

3. R.J. Hunter: Georgia State (Guard)

"He's an outside shooter who is probably a shooting guard, possibly a shooting forward in the NBA. He drained the game-winning three in Thursday's game against Baylor. He's definitely a pro prospect."

4. Arizona: Stanley Johnson (Forward) and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (Forward)

The Wildcats cruised past Texas Southern Thursday afternoon to advance to take on Ohio State.

5. Wisconsin: Frank Kaminsky (Forward) and Sam Dekker (Forward)

"Not a big fan of the guys from Wisconsin. Frank Kaminsky is probably going to be a first round pick. Maybe Sam Dekker too."

6. D'Angelo Russell: Ohio State (Guard)

"Had a monster game Thursday night in defeating VCU. New York Knicks president Phil Jackson got in trouble for talking about Russell. This guy could also be the number one pick."

Midwest Region

1. Karl Towns: Kentucky (Center)

"He's moving up and could overpass Okafor in the draft."

If potential prospects want to make a name of themselves, the NCAA Tournament is a perfect time to showcase it.
