All About The U? Frank Gore Makes Recruiting Pitch For Vince Wilfork To Join Colts

BOSTON (CBS) -- No matter how many years have passed, the fact remains that it is always about The U.

And new Colts running back Frank Gore is hoping the allure of making a Miami reconnection in Indianapolis will be enough to inspire Vince Wilfork to sign with the Colts.

Gore, who signed with the Colts this past week along with wide receiver and former Hurricane Andre Johnson, posted on Instagram that he's hopeful to share a locker room once again with Wilfork, his college teammate.

"The u we waiting for big Vince wilfork now family," Gore wrote.

Wilfork, 33, has spent his entire 11-season career with the New England Patriots, but the team elected to not pick up his contract for the upcoming 2015 season. The five-time All-Pro (one first team, four second team), five-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion has reportedly drawn interest from a number of teams, including the Patriots.

But might the appeal of joining his 2001 national champion teammates in Indy play a role in Wilfork's decision?

We'll likely find out sooner than later. If not, Ken Dorsey is always available.
