Anonymous Notes Spread Positivity At Ipswich Middle School

IPSWICH (CBS) – No matter what generation you're from, it's never been easy to be an eighth grader. So imagine when the kids at Ipswich Middle School found notes on their lockers last Friday morning.

"It made everyone's day," one student said.

Someone came into school early and made all 149 eighth graders feel special with a simple message: "You are beautiful."

"Everybody started talking about it," a student said.

It didn't take long for the goodwill to start spreading.

"As the hours and the days progressed, people started moving them around to specific lockers," another student said.

One locker belonged to Eric Anderson. His family's home burned down recently, so he found his locker plastered with Post-its.

"It's still good that people care," Anderson said.

So who was behind the notes?

"It doesn't matter where that message came from," Principal Dave Fabrizio said. "If each child looked at it in a different way and said 'Boy somebody cares about me' or 'I'm going to have a better day because of it' the message is all you need."
