All season long, the college basketball world has waited to see Kentucky and Wisconsin play again in a Final Four and now these two teams are going to be put in the same region in the NCAA Tournament?

That’s what it’s starting to look like.

Another thing resonating from this weekend?

Mid-major favorites have to cash in opportunities when they get them. Murray State had a terrific season which included a 25-game winning streak, but there’s really no way I see the Racers getting an at-large bid to the field of 68.

Speaking of mid-majors, Davidson was one a year ago. In case you missed it, they’re not anymore.

Bob McKillop’s squad clinched the Atlantic 10 regular season title over the weekend in their first year in the league with a roster that was recruited to play in the SOCON. That’s impressive.

You know what else is going to be impressive?

The Big 12 Tournament this week in Kansas City. We’re joined on this podcast by Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg as he discusses the Cyclones’ season and what lies ahead in the postseason.

Enjoy the best time of the year as we’re just hours away from Selection Sunday. But really, who’s counting!
