Roche: 3 Highly Motivated Red Sox
FORT MYERS, Fla (CBS) -- Following a last place finish last season, the Boston Red Sox are a highly motivated bunch as spring training hits full swing down in Florida.
That is evident at the amount of players who reported for duty early -- as of Saturday only Allen Craig and David Ortiz were left to report -- and are already putting in a lot of hard work.
But WBZ-TV's Dan Roche brings us three members of the team who are motivated more than anyone:
1. John Farrell
He has a new contract extension, and is motivated to prove his doubters wrong after a last-place finish in 2014.
2. Dustin Pedroia
The second baseman is healthy, and ready to return to form.
3. Pablo Sandoval
He has a nice five-year contract, but Panda is even more motivated after those unflattering photos of him published earlier this week.
