HOLBROOK (CBS) – School will be closed Monday at Holbrook Junior-Senior High School following a snow removal accident involving a front-end loader.

Fire officials say the machinery was being used to clear snow at the school when it struck a wall and a gas meter, causing a small leak.

“I got a text from (my daughter) earlier and (she) said school is closed and I was like ‘OK,'” parent Bryan McEvoy told WBZ-TV’s Julie Loncich.

“It’s kind of getting old,” added Jaiden, McEvoy’s daughter.

McEvoy said, “I’ve had enough of this. It’s time for them to go back to school.”

When asked if she is driving her parents crazy, the eight grader laughed and said “I am.”
