Judge Receives Juror Note As Aaron Hernandez Trial Resumes

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — The judge and lawyers in the murder case of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have briefly discussed a new note from a juror before resuming trial.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh announced Friday that she had received the note, but she did not reveal what it said.

She discussed the note privately with Hernandez, his lawyers and prosecutors for several minutes.

Then she called jurors in, and the trial resumed.

Eighteen jurors were initially chosen for the jury, but two have been dismissed. Twelve will ultimately decide Hernandez's guilt or innocence.

Testifying Friday morning was a worker for the company that manages electronic toll collection in Massachusetts.

Prosecutors have said Hernandez drove through a toll without paying shortly before the killing of Odin Lloyd in June 2013.
