Footprints In Snow Lead Worcester Police To Bar Robbery Suspect

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Police say footprints in the snow led to the suspect in a robbery of a Worcester bar.

Police responded to the Three G's Sports Bar at about 1 a.m. Monday where an employee told officers he was putting money in a bag when a man jumped over the counter, pushed him to the ground, and grabbed the bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect fled out the back door.

Officers followed a set of fresh footprints consistent with someone running based on the distance between steps to a nearby apartment.

The apartment door was slightly ajar and police could see the bag in plain sight. They arrested 31-year-old Jonathan Campbell and charged him with assault and battery and unarmed robbery.
