Marblehead Man Indicted In Murder Of Girlfriend
MARBLEHEAD (CBS) -- A grand jury indicted a 28-year-old Marblehead man Wednesday in the December murder of his 51-year-old girlfriend.
John Devine is accused of murdering girlfriend Tanya Nichols, who was found dead in their Sparhawk Terrace home on Dec. 21. He's being held without bail, according to a spokeswoman for the Essex County District Attorney's Office.
Police said that Nichols had called 9-1-1 about a month earlier and reported that Devine was threatening to kill her, but she refused to press charges.
No arraignment date has been set.
