BOSTON (CBS) –  New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen talked to 98. 5 The Sports Hub’s Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak Tuesday afternoon at Super Bowl Media Day in Phoenix, as the Patriots continue to gear up and face the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.

Vereen, making his second appearance in the Super Bowl with the Patriots, is ready for the challenge to face the Seahawks defense.

“Seattle presents a number of challenges for us,” said Vereen. “They have been the gold standard of defense for a reason and deserve that title.”

The biggest factor that jumps out to Vereen about the Seahawks defense is their speed, adding it’s the “fastest defense we’ve played all season, by far.”

Gresh and Zo asked Vereen if he’s ever been on the Gronkowski party bus, driven by Rob’s friend and right hand man “The Goon.”

He says he hasn’t, but Vereen revealed that Gronkowski and Goon are featured in a new song by Lil Wayne on one of his latest mixtapes.

“And my goons is wilder than Gronk” is the lyric on his “U Guessed It” freestyle.
