Bryan Stork: Chick Flick Fan?

BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots center Bryan Stork joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak Tuesday afternoon in Phoenix at Super Bowl XLIX Media Day.

Last year at this time, Bryan Stork was coming off a National Championship win at Florida State. Now, he's about to play in the Super Bowl.

"It's been fun. Last year was fun, but this year's been more fun. So I've been having a lot of fun," Stork said of his past year in football.

Stork was the first lineman taken off the board by New England in the 2014 NFL Draft, selected in the fourth round (105th overall) to be Tom Brady's center.

But a preseason injury prevented him from starting the season, and Stork got his first start against Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium -- one of the loudest venues in sports -- on Monday Night Football.

"It really wasn't [hard dealing with the noise]. They did the War Chop, just like Seminoles fans," said Stork, who said it felt like an FSU home game. "But I was on the other side of it. It was still cool to be a part of."

Earlier in the season when the Patriots offensive line struggled, many people directed the blame towards line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, who took over for longtime assistant Dante Scarnecchia after the 2013 season.

Zolak was curious to know if Stork felt like the criticism was unfair.

"I literally ignored the noise. I didn't read anything. I didn't know much about what was going on or what was being said," said Stork. "We just stuck with it and kept working hard everyday. ... It's really easy [to ignore the noise]. Yeah, just don't leave the house."

Stork has become somewhat of a cult hero on the Gresh & Zo show, and his legend really took off earlier this season when Shane Vereen told the guys about one of their first interactions.

"I was talking to him and I said, 'I'm looking forward to play with you. I'm glad you're gonna be in there' and he says, 'Shane. You see this ass? Just follow it.' You've got to love it."

Stork talked about it with Gresh & Zo.

"I don't remember. We were doing something," said Stork who could not recall. "I told [Stevan] Ridley the same thing too one day."

As you can tell from his answers, Stork is a many of very few words. Well, Gresh wanted to know what a day in the life of Bryan Stork was like -- or it could be anything, like a hobby.

"Can you play the piano? Or something like that?" asked Gresh, trying to squeeze something out of him. "Or do you like love stories..."

"I do like to watch chick flicks every now and then," said Stork. "Bridesmaids, that [movie] is hilarious."
