Cake, Pork On The Line For Governors In Patriots-Colts AFC Title Game Bet

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker has made his first friendly sports wager with another state's governor, and it's over the upcoming AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.

Baker's office said Friday that if the Patriots win, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will send shredded pork from Shoup's Country Foods in Frankfort, Indiana, to the Massachusetts governor's office.

A Colts victory at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday would require Baker to send Pence a "Super Bowl themed cake" from Montilio's bakery in Brockton and Boston Cream Pie cupcakes made at the Koffee Kup bakery in Springfield.

The governor's office of the winning team will also receive food donations from the losing team's state for a local food pantry.

"The Colts are a great team but will discover they are no match for the Patriots in the hunt for the AFC title," said Baker. "Therefore my friend Governor Pence shouldn't count on seeing any Boston Cream Pie cupcakes from me."
