Officials: Falmouth Man Confesses To Shooting Arrow Into Cat

FALMOUTH (CBS) -- A Falmouth man is facing criminal charges after officials say he confessed to shooting an arrow into a cat.

On Thursday, an East Falmouth resident on Sidewinder Drive reported finding a cat in his yard with an arrow through its body. Two days later, police seized arrows, bows and firearms from 29-year-old Joseph Losi, the Falmouth Department of Marine and Environment said.

Losi confessed to firing the arrow at the 13-year-old male cat named Cuday, according to officials.. He reportedly told officers that he thought the cat was feral and was harassing his bobwhite quail that lived in a coop on his property.

Losi is charged with maiming a domestic animal, animal cruelty and improper storage of a firearm.
