Woman Killed Walking On Route 1 In Peabody
PEABODY (CBS) – A woman was struck and killed by an SUV on Route 1 in Peabody early Tuesday morning.
State Police say a Honda CRV was travelling on the northbound side just after midnight when it hit the woman who was walking in the left travel lane in front of Red's Tavern.
The driver stopped.
The woman, a 33-year-old from Haverhill, was rushed to Lahey Medical Center where she died.
No names have been released.
Police say no charges have been filed at this point in the investigation.
