SUV Crashes Into Ashland Store, Narrowly Misses Manager

ASHLAND (CBS) – A car barreling into an Ashland convenience store narrowly missed a clerk who was sitting near the store window.

Firefighters responded to Ashland Convenient Store on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The SUV that broke through the window was taking a left hand turn off Union Street into the parking lot when it was rear-ended by a pick-up truck.

A mom was driving the SUV with her three year old daughter in the back. The mom was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The store manager who was sitting near the window where the SUV hit was uninjured, as were other employees inside.

The employee wearing pink is Josselyn Tovar. She had just moved away from the window.

"I just saw the car coming in this way through the window and it was very scary," Tovar said. "I was like oh my God I can't believe I am still alive."
