Barnstable High Students Mourn Sudden Death Of Classmate

BARNSTABLE (CBS) — Grief counselors were at Barnstable High School Wednesday to help students cope with the sudden death of a classmate.

Eighteen-year-old Justin Aristide collapsed while playing basketball at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center Tuesday night.

He was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital where he died.

Witnesses told police there was no hit or collision while Aristide played basketball, he just collapsed.

There's no word yet on what caused the death.

The counselors came to Barnstable High School Wednesday to be available for Aristide's classmates, who are currently on their winter vacation.
