Device Placed On Car In Nashua Neighborhood Explodes

NASHUA, N.H. (CBS) – The bomb squad was called to a New Hampshire neighborhood after an explosive device was detonated on a vehicle.

Nashua police were called just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday after an explosion on Vespa Lane.

Responding officers found a car damaged by what appeared to be a device that had exploded.

Homes in the area were evacuated as the bomb squad arrived on scene.

Investigators found a second device on the vehicle's hood that had not exploded. That device was removed by the bomb squad and taken into evidence.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police said the explosive devices appear to have been made from commercial grade materials.
