PEABODY (CBS) – A worker was killed in an industrial accident in Peabody early Friday afternoon.

Investigators were called to Allied Waste Services on Forest Street just off Route 1 around noon.

Peabody police said the male worker was bending down to clear a drain while a front-end loader was backing up and did not see him. The worker was later identified as 26-year-old Joshua Black of Wilmington, according to WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe reported.

Police and officials from OSHA are investigating the incident as an accidental death.
