Woman Struck By Orange Line Train

BOSTON (CBS) – A woman was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after she was hit by an MBTA Orange Line train.

Transit police received a radio call at about 3:15 p.m. and responded to the Massachusetts Ave. station.

Members of the Boston Fire Department and Boston EMS also were called to the area where they found a woman in her 20s who fell from the northbound platform and into the path of the Orange Lane train.

Boston firefighters extricated the woman and she was transported to an Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Transit police said the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
