Head-on Crash Kills 1, Injures 2 In Wellfleet
WELLFLEET (CBS) -- One person was killed and two others injured in a head-on crash on Route 6 in Wellfleet Saturday afternoon, police said.
The collision occurred at 2586 Route 6 at about 1:15 p.m., according to Wellfleet police. Rescuers performed CPR on one of the passengers who later died at Cape Cod Hospital.
The drivers of both vehicles were also taken to Cape Cod Hospital, and no information was immediately available on their conditions.
Police said it appears that a 2007 Subaru was traveling north on Route 6 when it was struck by a 2014 Audi headed south.
The crash limited Route 6 travel to one lane for about two hours while police investigated the crash.
