BOSTON (CBS) – People across the city and eastern Massachusetts looked up in the beautiful fall sky Thursday morning and caught a rare – and loud – sight.

Five F-15 fighter jets from the The Massachusetts Air National Guard’s 104th Fighter Wing zipped around for a promotional shoot between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Photos from Thursday’s event will appear in a future issue of the National Guard magazine.

The Guard announced the flight plan earlier this week.
