Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

BOSTON (CBS) - There's just three weeks left in the regular season for most fantasy leagues, so playoff spots are literally on the line.

But before Week 11 kicks off, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Keefe has some advice for you to gain that extra edge.

On Tuesday night, Keefe provided four pickup options for you to put a claim in on the waiver wire based on priority, as well as an explanation for each.

But before the waiver wire discussion, his first piece of advice was to go check and see if Montee Ball and Ryan Mathews are available. Both players have been injured, with Mathews having missed most of the season. But they're expected to come back off injury, and if your league doesn't have an IR spot then perhaps those two guys are available. Both should be owned.

Now, onto the waiver wire talk...

Go grab these players now!

Broncos RB C.J. Anderson

"You would imagine Montee Ball is not coming back at 100 percent, and Ronnie Hillman, who had done a great job in place of Ball, is out for at least the next two games. When Anderson was thrust into action last week he had like 160 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. C.J. Anderson is a must-add and you may even be able to play him this week depending on what you have."

Eagles WR Jordan Matthews

"He's a guy I drafted in a league and then had to give up on him. I love rookie receivers, what can I say? To be fair, look at how good they've all been. Matthews had a two-touchdown game early in the season with Nick Foles but then was pretty quiet for awhile. He had a touchdown again last week, then in his first full game with Mark Sanchez he had seven catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns. I do expect Jeremy Maclin to get more of the offense going forward, but Jordan Matthews has really emerged."

Raiders TE Mychal Rivera

"Maybe you have somebody like Jason Witten on a bye, in which case may I suggest Mychal Rivera. I had to start him last week because I had Antonio Gates on a bye and he got me 64 yards and a touchdown. He's had three touchdowns in his last two games and 21 catches over his last three games. They're throwing to him a lot. Again, the Raiders aren't very good and it's hard to tell what Derek Carr is. But Mychal Rivera has been a pretty big part of the offense."

Cleveland Browns DEF

"This defense has been coming on strong. The last couple weeks they've played well. They're sneaky the division leader in that AFC North. And who are they playing this week? Oh, I don't know . . . Ryan Mallett in his first career start. Browns defense this week. I'm banking on Ryan Mallett throwing a couple of picks. Browns are also at home. Arian Foster scares the hell out of me, but there's really no other defense that's out there. The Jaguars and Jets are on the bye this week, so you can't just find the defense playing them. I'm gonna roll the dice with the Cleveland Browns defense."
