The 11 Best Beards In The NFL

BOSTON (CBS) - November is here, which means men everywhere are letting their facial hair grow exponentially to raise awareness for 'Movember', 'No Shave November' and other men's health related causes.

Nowhere is this trend more evident than in the National Football League, where big, burly, lumberjack-looking men are front and center for the national audience multiples times per week.

Some of these cavemen are so hairy they look like the offspring of Hagrid and the Duck Dynasty guys, so it'll be next to impossible to rank them 1-11. Instead, I'll reveal my Top 11 and you can decide whose beard is the best by voting in our poll at the bottom.

On to the list...

New York Jets center Nick Mangold

One word to describe Mangold's beard: impressive. This face-hugger looks like the perfect combination of Nordic fisherman and five-time Pro Bowler.

Andrew Luck doesn't care what you say. He's bringing back the neckbeard and there's nothing you can do to stop him.

New England Patriots center Bryan Stork

Does this look like the face of a man you want to line up against opposite the line of scrimmage? I'll answer for you. The answer of course is no.

The classic "Civil War General" look.

Nice . . .

. . . I've got nothing else to add on that.

New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia

Matt Patricia, the lone coach to crack the list. That crumb catcher just screams "wildebeest" and "America's Most Wanted" all in one. A truly special beard.

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce

Get a load of that fur face! So rugged.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel

Generally considered the top beard playing today, Brett Keisel's facial hair reminds me of Fangorn, aka Treebeard in Lord Of The Rings.

Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Jared Odrick

Odrick didn't make the list for his beard alone. Let's face it, his beard could use some work. But the beard in conjunction with the Sideshow Bob haircut? Now we're talking.

Denver Broncos guard Louis Vasquez

Louis Vasquez has never heard of the Dollar Shave Club, and that doesn't bother him one bit.

You don't mess with a man with a beard like that. You just don't. Death wish like you read about.
