Toucher: Big Move Coming If Bruins Go South

BOSTON (CBS) - Everyone would agree that four games into the NHL season is far too early to press the panic button.

However, there's nothing wrong with having a contingency plan in place if things do not improve.

Through four games the Bruins are 1-3, and in those four games have scored just four goals combined. There's a large dearth in talent and top-end skill, and signing Simon Gagne is not going to fix that.

If the lack of scoring, poor play and descension in the standings continues, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Fred Toucher believes the only way to get better is to trade away a major piece for maximum return, and he fears that major piece may be Milan Lucic.

Again, it's early. But it's something worth watching, in his opinion. Fred is willing to wait out the month of October -- anything more than that may be pushing it.

The Bruins embark on a three-game road trip starting Wednesday night in Detroit. Afterwards, they'll take on Montreal on Thursday and Buffalo on Saturday.
