BOSTON (CBS) – WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Joe Mathieu sat down recently with Richard Tisei, the Republican candidate in the 6th Congressional District race.

Tisei is facing Democrat Seth Moulton in the November election.

Moulton defeated longtime incumbent John Tierney in the Democratic primary.

The candidate discussed domestic issues such as housing and foreign affairs, including the U.S. response to terrorist threats in Iraq and Syria.

He also talked about why he believes the Republican Party is important for Massachusetts and offered his thoughts on the direction of the country.
