Saugus Man Sought On Sex Assault And Porn Charges Turns Himself In To Police

SAUGUS (CBS) – A man wanted in connection with a violent sexual assault has turned himself in to Newburyport police.

Saugus police said Rashad Deihim, 19, of Saugus, turned himself in to police Saturday.

Deihim has been charged with assault with intent to rape, kidnapping, indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older, and posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act, police said.

Earlier this week police said Deihim should be considered dangerous and they were concerned he may have been trying to flee the state.

He is being held without bail and will be arraigned Monday in Lynn District Court.
