Family, Investigators Seek Help Solving Saugus Woman's 1992 Murder

BOSTON (CBS) – Twenty-two years after an airline worker from Saugus was found dead in the trunk of her car in Revere, law enforcement officials are renewing calls for anyone who knows about the murder to come forward.

The Suffolk District Attorney's Office and state police on Sunday released a video of an interview with Marlene Taraskiewicz, whose daughter's murder remains unsolved.

Susan Taraskiewicz, then 27, took a break from her job at Northwest Airlines at Logan Airport early on the morning of Sept. 13, 1992, to pick up sandwiches for co-workers. She never returned to work or her family's home in Saugus.

One day later Taraskiewicz's body was found in the trunk of her car, which was parked outside an auto body shop in Revere.

In the video released Sunday, Marlene Taraskiewicz talks about her daughter's life and vows to continue working to keep public attention on Susan's case.

"I get up every day and Susan is always on my mind. It doesn't go away," Marlene Taraskiewicz says in the video. "She loved family and she would be so … angry and upset knowing that this has destroyed her family."

Investigators ask anyone with information about the case to contact the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County at 617-727-8817.
