NH Man Killed In Lexington Crash That Snarled Route 128 Traffic

LEXINGTON (CBS) – The driver of a tractor-trailer truck was killed Saturday morning when the vehicle rolled over on Route 128 southbound.

Police identified the driver as Charles Vancor, 40, of Lebanon, New Hampshire. Vancor was pronounced dead at the scene.

JP Noonan Transporation Inc., of Hooksett, New Hampshire, owns the truck, police said.

The truck rolled over and came to a stop on the guard rail and median. Police said the vehicle was carrying liquid tar and there was some leakage as a result of the crash.

The truck was uprighted and towed at about 3:15 p.m.

Traffic backups remained throughout the day while cleanup continued. The left lane northbound was expected to be closed Sunday until about 5 p.m. while cleanup and guard rail repair was completed, according to MassDOT.

Police are investigating the crash.
