Woman Charged With Trying To Sell Pills To Teens At Weymouth Skate Park

WEYMOUTH (CBS) - A Hingham woman is being held on $5,000 bail after police say she tried to sell drugs to teens in Weymouth.

Weymouth police said they were called to a skate park in Lower Jackson Square Tuesday afternoon after a woman approached two boys and asked them if they wanted to buy some pills.

The boys said they told her no, but she came back and asked them again.

One the teens pointed out the woman and officers tracked her down walking on Commercial Street.

Police say Sherri Lee Leach, 49, had Clonazepam and Amphetamine-Dextroamphetimine pills on her.

She allegedly told the officers she was just joking with the kids about the pills.

Leach was arrested and charged with possession to distribute a class C drug to a minor, possession of a class C drug, and a drug violation near a school or park.

She will be arraigned Wednesday in Quincy District Court.
