Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 2 Waiver Wire

BOSTON (CBS) - Week 1 is in the books, and now the focus has shifted towards the Thursday night game between Pittsburgh and Baltimore to kick off Week 2.

But before that, fantasy owners are perusing the waiver wire and trying to one-up their opponents by adding a season-long contributor to their roster. These are guys who went undrafted, but will be highly sought after following a big performance in Week 1.

Every night during the NFL season on 98.5 The Sports Hub's The Adam Jones Show, Rich Keefe breaks down the fantasy world.

On the latest installment of the fantasy brief, Keefe clues us in who to target on the wire, starting with his favorite position: the wide receivers.

"I assume Brandin Cooks (New Orleans) is already owned in your league, but he's only owned I think in like 52 percent of leagues right now. He had a great Week 1. Even if Kenny Stills returns I think Cooks will be fine. He was a high draft pick for the Saints.

"The other three guys all had big Week 1's. Kelvin Benjamin (Carolina) -- I was a little leery when Cam Newton sat out and Derek Anderson played. But he's their top guy. He had 92 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He may not do that every week, but he has the chance to be the top rookie wide receiver. He has no one else around him, so he'll get a ton of targets."

Keefe was also impressed by Allen Herns (Jacksonville).

"He was actually the second highest scoring receiver this week trailing only Calvin Johnson. I don't like Herns long term, but I would keep an eye on him. Let's remember that Eddie Royal had a big Week 1 last season and didn't end up doing much."

The other receiver to pick up is Markus Wheaton of Pittsburgh. As for running backs, go grab yourself Justin Forsett. Ray Rice was only supposed to miss two games, but now that he's suspended indefinitely, Forsett is the Baltimore back to grab -- not Bernard Pierce.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Forsett is the feature back for the Ravens."
