Police Investigate Two Sex Assaults In Brighton

BOSTON (CBS) – Police are telling Brighton residents to be on alert after two women reported being sexually assaulted Thursday night.

Police have released a surveillance image of a male suspect wanted for the attacks.

The first victim says she was assaulted in the area of 39 Brighton Ave. at about 7:50 p.m. The second victim was allegedly attacked in the area of Quint and Brighton Avenues about 40 minutes later.

Both victims describe the suspect as a white male, late 30's to early 40's, a slim build with short hair and approximately 5'8" tall.

Police are "investigating the possibility that these incidents are related."

Police do not believe the attacks are linked to recent peeping tom incidents. However, police have increased area patrols.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sexual Assault Unit detectives at 617-343-4400.
