Police have said she walked her normal route toward home that day and sent several text messages to a friend between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Two weeks after she disappeared, she sent a letter to her mother.

According to the New Hampshire Attorney General's office, "Further details will be provided once it has been determined that releasing additional information will not compromise the integrity of the on-going criminal investigation."

Zenya Hernandez, Abigail's mother, told law enforcement officers that "today we are the happiest people on earth."
