Tractor Trailer Crashes Onto Boston Common

BOSTON (CBS) - It took several hours for crews to remove a tractor trailer that crashed onto Boston Common Thursday afternoon.

The truck careened through the intersection of Walnut and Beacon Streets, crashed through a fence and landed on a walking path in Boston Common.

Officials on scene say the driver from Georgia got lost on Beacon Hill after his GPS led him onto Storrow Drive and he was forced to exit.

On the way down Walnut Street, the truck's brakes gave out.

There are no reports of any injuries.
