Jay Talking: 'Is On-Line Dating For You?'

Technology drives us to physical isolation because we can communicate from the bunker that is our routine. Perhaps you have noticed you are not meeting people as much as you used to? I believe being connected electronically is a modern tool, but too many of us forgo real face time for Facebook time and end up with a bad case of ennui. I admit, I too am a victim of my own technological ego.

As a result, those who have adopted an electronic lifestyle and are looking for a partner may need to go all-in and embrace on-line dating. This may offer not only more choices than old-school networking, but one may be able to save time and money filtering out inappropriate people on fruitless dates.

On the other hand, the sheer number of choices can get a person stuck on a hamster-wheel of endless "shopping" and not enough dating.

How do you feel about on-line dating? Is it a valuable tool or an anemic proxy for an eye-to-eye encounter?
