Dad Of Murdered UNH Student: 'We Will Always Miss Her'

DOVER, N.H. (AP) — The father of a slain Massachusetts college student says the family is grateful a jury convicted her killer, but that even a life sentence for Seth Mazzaglia will never soothe their grief.

Bob Marriott spoke shortly after the 31-year-old Mazzaglia was found guilty of raping and killing 19-year-old Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott in October 2012. Her body has never been found.

After the verdict, Marriott said the family "will always miss her."

He said that during the trial, hearing what happened to his daughter was "horrendous."

Marriott said the verdict will keep a dangerous man off the streets.

He also had harsh words for the defense for what he called intentionally misstating his daughter's actions. He said it's easy to blame someone who cannot defend herself.
