Jay Talking Travel Photo Of the Day: Istanbul

Istanbul is a super exotic destination that is fairly accessible. It straddles two continents and it is easy to eat dinner in Europe and then drive across the bridge that spans the Bosphorus to enjoy dessert in Asia. Once in Istanbul, I recommend a ha-mam (try the one featured in the movie "Taken 2"), a visit to Hagia Sophia, a hookah room, the Grand Bazaar, and a Bosphorus boat ride. Be sure to try the local potent potable, Raki. Also check out the Four Seasons hotel, formerly the prison featured in the movie "Midnight Express. Be prepared to haggle over EVERYTHING. It can be fun if you have the right attitude. I recommend that you don't buy a rug unless you know what you are doing.
