Johnny Depp Joins Willie Nelson on Stage in Boston

By Kurt Wolff

The bill for the Willie Nelson show in Boston yesterday (June 17) was already loaded, as Nelson and Family were sharing the stage that evening with Alison Krauss and Kacey Musgraves. But for Nelson's portion of the show, he was joined by a special bandmember: Johnny Depp.

According to a review in the Boston Globe, Nelson introduced the actor at the start of the show by simply saying, "You got Johnny over here playing some guitar." Depp then stayed and played with the band for the entire 85-minute set, mostly sticking to the sidelines but willing to trade licks on occasion with bandmember Lukas Nelson.

This wasn't Depp's first time on stage with Nelson, either. He previously appeared with the country legend during the Austin Rodeo this past March.

Afterward the Boston show, Nelson posted a photo with Depp to his Instagram account.
