Tim Montana And The Shrednecks Sing National Anthem At Fenway Park, Then On Flight Home

BOSTON (CBS) - Singer songwriter Tim Montana is well known around Fenway Park.

He and his band The Shrednecks were behind last year's Red Sox theme song "This Beard Came Here To Party."

They were scheduled to perform the National Anthem before Game 7 of the 2013 World Series at Fenway.

But the Sox won the Series in 6 games.

So they were invited back to Fenway to sing the anthem before a game this season.  But this time it was the night the 2004 World Series Champions were honored on May 28.

Montana told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 the performance was a thrill, but they would end up singing it again one more time on their trip - on the flight home.

"We board the airplane and the flight attendant says 'you guys got guitars all over this airplane,' and we all have beards and hair and we look the part, and she says 'would you mind singing for us on the flight?' And I said 'sure!'"
