Haverhill Police Looking For Man Exposing Himself, Assaulting Women

HAVERHILL (CBS) --- Police in Haverhill are looking for a man they believe exposed himself to women six separate times over the past month.

Each of the incidents happened around Monument Square.

On two occasions, the suspect attempted to grab women; a woman reported to police a man tried to grab her while she was jogging on Kenoza Avenue and an elderly woman said a man approached her from behind, knocked her glasses off and put his hand over her mouth. In the second case, the woman bit the man and pushed him away.

Police say the man is targeting women of all ages. He's described as a white man in his 40's and early 50's with salt and pepper hair, unkempt beard, 5'7" to 5'9" wearing hoodies, windbreakers, a ski mask and bright red or orange wind pants. The times of the incidents range from the very early morning hours to 10 p.m.

Haverhill Police are urging women especially in the Monument Square area, to be alert and aware of these incidents, and to take the proper precautions of not walking/jogging alone, locking doors, keeping the exterior of their homes well-lit, securing ground level windows, to look out for fellow neighbors, and to report any suspicious persons immediately to the Haverhill Police by calling 911. Citizens are also encouraged to get accurate descriptions of suspicious males or vehicles in these areas.
