VIDEO: Brenna McCarthy Is Running Boston

John Hancock employee Brenna McCarthy is running in the 118th Boston Marathon.

"Unfortunately I didn't' reach Boylston Street, but I did end up receiving a finisher's medal for the 2013 Boston Marathon.

"Similarly I received a medal from the Special Olympics, thanking me for fundraising; for running in their honor.

"With the Special Olympics, I think it's a really great example of transcending barriers, and that's something that has always been important to me.

"We're all in this together. And we're going to cross Boylston Street, and we're going to celebrate – all of us."
