Three Charged With Interfering In Jeremiah Oliver Case

FITCHBURG (CBS) — Three people are facing charges of interfering with a criminal investigation in connection with the disappearance of Jeremiah Oliver.

The Worcester County District Attorney's office said Monday, Christian Sierra, 21, Cailey Thibault, 23, and Ashley M. Cormier, 24, all of Fitchburg, are charged under the Intimidation of a Witness statute.

Sierra and Thibault were arrested Friday night and held over the weekend on $25,000 bail. Cormier was arrested Monday.

Judge Andrew L. Mandell set $2,000 bail for Sierra and $2,500 bail each for Thibault and Cormier.

The 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver was last seen by relatives on Sept. 14.

Elsa Oliver, 28, Jeremiah's mother, remains in jail. She is facing two counts of reckless endangerment of a child and two counts of accessory after the fact of a felony (assault and battery with a dangerous weapon).

The mother's boyfriend, Alberto L. Sierra, 22, is being held without bail facing two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife) and two counts of assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury. Christian Sierra is Alberto Sierra's brother. Thibault, is the girlfriend of Christian Sierra and Ashley M. Cormier is a friend of the couple, according to the district attorney's office.

The three will be back in court April 15.
