Fall River Police Seek Alleged Robber Who Pepper-Sprayed Pregnant Woman

FALL RIVER (CBS) – Police in Fall River are searching for the robber who sprayed a pregnant woman with pepper spray as he tried to steal her money.

A surveillance photo has been released of the man who police said approached the 22-year old victim Monday on North Main Street after she took money out of a Bank of America.

The robber demanded the woman give him her cash and then sprayed her when she refused.

The woman, who is 8 months pregnant, was taken to the hospital.

Doctors do not believe the woman's unborn child was harmed.
