BOSTON (CBS) – All three northbound lanes of the Tip O’Neill Tunnel were shut down briefly Friday afternoon due to a car fire.

Traffic was backed up for miles on I-93 north as crews waited for the smoke to clear the tunnel.

All three lanes were reopened by 4:15 p.m.
