HARWICH (CBS) — Grief counselors were on hand at Barnstable High School where a young victim of a weekend crash had many close friends.
Meanwhile, police continue their search for a third driver who was not involved, but may be a witness to the crash early Sunday morning.READ MORE: Body Of Missing Swimmer Recovered From Hyde Park Pond
Police say Michael Lawrence and friend Adrian Sterling were in separate cars, speeding eastbound when Lawrence lost control and crashed into a tree. Sterling was unhurt in the crash but is now facing charges including reckless driving.
Lawrence’s heartbroken mother is looking for answers.

Classmates say Lawrence was a popular student at Barnstable High.
“He was like a brother to me, we did everything together,” friend Corey Woolfolk said. “It’s hard to believe he’s gone.”
