Underground Explosion Knocks Out Power To Hundreds In Newton

NEWTON (CBS) - An underground explosion knocked out power to hundreds in Newton Friday night.

It is unclear what caused the explosion.

NSTAR reports more than 350 customers were without power.

Part of the roadway was damaged, but no injuries were reported.

Power was restored about two hours after the explosion.

Surveillance video from a business in the area shows a bright flash followed by flames.
